About our Fire Blanket
A Fire Blanket works by cutting off the oxygen going to the fire. In essence, snuffing out the flames. This is very effective in the kitchen or in workshops. Hang the blank in an obvious and easy to get to spot. This ensures the safety of the occupants. Using a fire blanket can certainly stop a fire dead in its tracks in mere seconds. To use correctly, you will want to roll up your sleeves and protect your hands by winding a bit in the blanket if there are no gloves around. Don’t waste time trying to find your blanket, always have it hanging in an easy to get to the area.
Drape the blanket over the fire. Make sure the blanket is flat and doesn’t have wrinkles where the air can get to the flames. This allows the blanket to shut off the first air. Be sure that no air can come in from a wrinkle or crack.

Let the blanket sit once the fire is out. Leave the blanket to cool. Shake the blanket of any particles. Fold the blanket up and place back into the handling package.
